What we collect
- Email address — when you submit a review or claim a vendor profile. Used to verify your identity and contact you about your submissions. Never sold or shared.
- Display name— what shows up on your reviews. You can use a real name, a handle, or "Anonymous Researcher."
- Review content — the text and ratings you submit. Published publicly once approved.
- IP address and device fingerprint — collected at review submission to detect coordinated review manipulation. Stored hashed, not in plaintext.
- Analytics — privacy-respecting page views via Plausible (no cookies, no cross-site tracking).
What we don't do
- Sell your data to third parties.
- Use cross-site advertising trackers.
- Publish your email address. Your display name is the only reviewer-side identifier visible to the public.
- Share your review history with the vendors you reviewed beyond what they can see on their public profile.
Your rights
You can edit or delete any review you posted within 30 days of submission via your account dashboard. After 30 days, contact us to request deletion. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and right-to-be-forgotten — email privacy@vialverdict.com to exercise them.
